Area 36 final

Area 36 finals of the International Speech and Evaluation contest were held in Tralee on April 2nd.

Anthony Garvey (Tralee) won the speech contest with Mike O' Donnell (Tralee) 2nd.

Mike O' Donnell (Tralee) won the Evaluation contest with Eileen Griffin (Killarney) 2nd.

Area 11 contest

Area 11 finals of the international Speech and Evaluation contests were held in Clonakilty on Monday 26th March. Deirdre McInerney won the International Speech contests and Paul Corcoran won the Evaluation contest.

Glanmire Toastmasters 10th Anniversary Dinner.

Glanmire Toastmasters will be celebrating their 10th Anniversary since chartering with a celebration Dinner which will be held in the Vienna Woods Hotel, Glanmire, April 27th, commencing at 7:30 pm.

Division A publicity workshop

Division A held a workshop on public relations and internet use at the Cork International
Airport on Thursday 1st March. Journalist Tina Neylon delivered a presentation on the writng and submission of Club Press Releases. Asst Division Governor (Education & Training),Eddie O' Mahony
outlined how the District 71 website can be used to plan meetings and record member achievements,
Division Governor Catherine Kelly described how to submit member awards on the Toastmasters International website and Asst Division Governor (PR), Ray Ryan demonstrated how Twitter can be used to publicize club events.

Killarney Workshop

Division A will be holding a workshop on the speechcraft and youth leadership programmes. Venue will be the Malton Hotel, Killarney,  Saturday  March 24^th, 16:00-18:00. Workshop is being hosted by members of the Killarney Toastmasters Club.

Area 23:   Wednesday 4^th April,  Rochestown  Park Hotel, 20:00.

Area 49;   Sunday 8^th April, 14:00. Venue to be confirmed.

Area 17:  Monday 9^th April, Charleville Park Hotel, Charleville, 20:00.

Publicity workshop.

Division A will be holding a workshop on Public Relations, Thursday March 1st, 19:30, Cork Airport Hotel. Sessions will be presented by Journalist Tina Neylon on writing press releases, by Eddie O' Mahony on  using the District 71 and Toastmasters international website and  by Ray Ryan (jnr) on the successful District 71 webinars and the use of Twitter. Looking foward to seeing many Toastmasters on the night!
