Division A Workshop

Division A Workshop on the Speechcraft and Youth Leadership programs will be held at the Oriel House Hotel, Ballincollig, Nov 15th, commencing at 20:00. Bernadette Noonan, Killarney Toastmasters, will be speaking on the Speechcraft program and John Keating, EMC Toastmasters, will be speaking on the Youth Leadership program. Admission 5 euro.

Division A Humorous Speech and Table Contest.

Division A held its final of the Humorous Speech and Table Topics on Oct 21st at the Oriel House Hotel, Ballincollig. The meeting was chaired by Area 3 Governor, Eric Downey,(above) and in attendance was Luanne Kent, District 71 Lieutant Governor (Education & Training).

The results of the Humorous Speech contest were as follows:

1st: Anthony Garvey, Tralee Toastmasters.
2nd: Shelia McGovern, Talking Heads Toastmasters, Garryvoe.
3rd: Mary Meaney, Galtees Toastmasters, Mitchelstown.

1st: Pat Sexton, Speakeasy Toastmasters, Mallow.
2nd: Eddie Fitzgerald, Cork Toastmasters.
3rd: Bernadette Hegarty, Talking Heads Toastmasters, Garryvoe.

Anthony and Pat will be representing Division A at the semi-finals of the Humorous Speech and Table Topics contests which will be held as part of the District 71 conference held this year in Garryvoe, Nov 9th-11th.

Area 11 Results

Bandon Toastmasters hosted the Area 11 final of the Humorous Speech and Table Topics Contests. Jeff Freeman, Bandon Toastmasters, won the Humorous Speech contest and Henry Thornhill, Bantry Toastmasters, won the Topics contest.

Area 17 Humorous Speech & Table Topics

Area 17 held its Table Topics and Humorous Speech final on Tuesday Oct 16th, hosted by Galtees Toastmasters. Mary Meaney, Galtee Toastmasters, won the Humorous Speech contest. Pat Sexton, Speakeasy Toastmasters, won the Table Topics contest.

Area 3 Table Topics and Humorous Speech contest

The Area 3 final of the Table Topics and Humorous Speech contest was hosted recently by Glanmire Toastmasters. Shelia McGovern won the Humorous Speech contest and Bernadette Hegarty won the Table Topics contest. Both Shelia and Bernadette are members of Talking Heads Toastmasters, Garryvoe.

Area 36 contest results

Area 36 held its final for the Table Topics and Humorous Speech contest on Oct 9th, hosted by the Killarney Toastmasters club.

The first Division A Workshop of the year will be held on the Speechcraft and Youth Leadership programs. Workshop date is the 15th November, venue will be the Oriel House Hotel, Ballincollig, time 20:00-21:30

The Division Final of the Humorous Speech and Table Topics contest will be held at the Oriel House Hotel, Ballincollig on Sunday 21st October, assembling 14:00 for 14:30 start. Details on the program will follow
