Division A 2012-13.
The new Toastmaster year has commenced and it will be an exciting one for Division A. At least two new clubs will charter this year, the Talking Heads club, Garryvoe, will host the District 71 Autumn Conference on Nov 9th-11th, and an ambitious series of workshops are being planned. Congratulations are due to Bridget Elliott who has received the Distinguished Toastmaster Award. Bridget is the third Toastmaster in Division to have received the DTM this season.Bridget is a member of the West Limerick and Failte Toastmaster Clubs and is currently Assistant Division Governor for Marketing.
The Distinguished Toastmaster Award (DTM) is the highest accolade in the Toastmaster organization is which is awarded to those who have achieved both the advanced Communcator Gold award (30 advanced speeches) and the Advanced Leader Gold Award (organizational achievements).

Tall Tales- in court!
Area 11 will be holding a Tall Tales contest in Bandon Courthouse on Tuesday May 22nd, commencing at 21:30. A tall tale is a short humorous speech of an almost probable nature! A great night's entertainment is assured.

Tales of the Unexpected Night

Brace yourself for a night of ghosts, ghouls, mystery and intrigue as Carrigaline Toastmasters host “Tales of the Unexpected” in the Masonic Lodge, Tuckey Street on Friday 18th May. Sit back and enjoy prepared speeches on a variety of weird and wonderful topics in a unique setting, interrupted only by a cheese and wine reception.
